At present time there completaly two thesis available. Both belongs to strength experiences in Java, object-oriented Design as well as analytically mindblasting. First experiences with J2EE are recommend(but not a requirement).

The thesis are declared for 7 months, one month is for preparing and learning the particular techniques.

Thesis I: Upgrade and Business Recovering

Your duty is to thinking in the first case straightforward and in the second case more compliant to the exactly given thematic of this thesis. At first, there is upgrading all needed technologies of FuThuer to an upper version, so we have the opportunity to handle with some new depicted features(e.g. in Cocoon, Forrest). Here you´ll upgrading our Web-Publishing Framework Cocoon, Apaches Forrest and our used J2EE Component - Enterprise JavaBeans. By this way it is essential that you upgrading the Application Server Jboss as well. Furthermore, you´ll have to evaluate for use a Business Rule Engine, so that we can see and deceide whether we can implement this or not. If yes, than it is youre duty to do this prototypically.

Thesis II: Migration of Technology

Constituive of an working draft, you´re duty is to migrate the Futhuer-System to a “Portlet-based System” - Liferay. Only the Frontend should be reimplemented but not the backend-system as well as the middleware(EJB). So you can use the business logic as well as the database.
